Born in 1965, received a BFA in 1991 at San Jose State University. Participated in numerous BFA shows at SJSU. Artist Tri Le is well known for his quiet, private and soft-spoken personality, a mysterious figure even to his siblings. He regards his works more as personal expression than as objects for display. After high school, Le joined the military to see the world and bravely dedicated his youth to serving his adopted country. Nevertheless, two things remain constant: Le's true love for spirituality and a deep commitment to philanthropy.

Leap Of Faith: Two things remain strong pulls in Le Tri's work: spirituality and philanthropy. The piece above was inspired by Mother Teresa, whom he revered for her humanitarian works. It can be considered Le's rendering of the nun's lifelong journey for communion with God. In the poor's struggle for survival, she saw her own need for spiritual fulfillment. This spiritual realization fueled her self-imposed mission: to alleviate the sufferings of the poor and less fortunate. It is this realization and the dedication to her mission that brought her closer to the divine grace she sought.
